Final Stretch of Plant 2020!๏ฝœFreedom To Farm

May 23, 2020
167 325 Views

Final push to finish plant 2020! We planted yellow peas, we planted spring wheat, and now the final crop of garbanzo beans. We have had many challenges to overcome but in the end the crop is planted and another chance at continuing our legacy is given.
We honor our fallen and lost who have served protecting our freedoms here in America. I personally am thinking about two airmen who lost their lives in military aircraft accidents, Lieutenant Alec Littler and Captain William Dubois.

    • @NightFox OS I am wondering if the person whom gave you this information is aware of what is called" Equalization Payments "are about. You should know, because the province of Quebec has been received them from the very beginning. For example the Province of Alberta pays to the Federal government for provinces like Quebec for a very long time. It's a list of provinces that have a reliable and steady financial structure from people who work and pay taxes. Alberta has paid into this tax for provinces that who are not like Alberta and claim they need assistance to be equal to all of Canadas Provinces. I suggest that you take the time to find out the truth. Then you may wish to retract your comment /comments about Quebec and what it unfairly pay? Quebec cannot afford to be without receiving it's yearly equalization payments that The Federal Government payed to The Province of Quebec. More time spent trying to be more self efficency like Alberta is and has been doing would be more suitable then trying to sound that Quebec is being taxed unfairly would be a direction best or in Quebec interest.

  • Very sorry that I viewed this late. Welker family, you are a wonderful, patriotic, faithful family. My salute to you. Nick, thank you very much for specifically pointing out servicemen that you knew and are now gone. That's what I do regularly, and definitely on Memorial Day. It is just and right that we remember those that served and gave that ultimate sacrifice, whether due to combat or during the constant training that the military goes through. Your military salute by flying the branch's flags was awesome! (A recommendation if I may, in the future can you perhaps play that branch's music while their flag is flown?) Keep up the great work, and God Bless. 24 year retired US Marine. Semper Fi!

  • Excellent Tribute to Our American Services and those who paid the ultimate sacrifice. As a U.S. Air Force veteran, and growing up working on a dairy farm, I feel incredibly blessed to live in our great country and I am sincerely thankful for those who served, and those who ultimately gave their life. My prayers to the family and friends of those lost and those who are missing their loved-ones at this time (myself included - my step-son is serving in the U.S. Army currently in South Korea). May God Bless Your Family and All that you do, and may He bless you with Abundance in your fields this year. Keep up your hard work and dedication, we need more of that in our world and you provide a really great example of it.

  • A well done tribute, we thank you back as it was my duty and pleasure. It also was a very long time ago... I will never forget. I think that this video took all the glamour out of being a farmer. I won't be surprised if case puts showers on some tractors... nasty job. I still don't understand why so many augers... they are very necessary for sure but isn't there a easier way of moving grain.?? I see every thing but bathtubs catching this stuff and then there is still a mess. Kinda surprised that where they spilled on the ground there isn't big patch's of corn or beans or peas growing in a big jumbled mess. Just from what I have been watching on farms, you almost have to see what everyone else is planting to keep prices up as if everyone comes in and the all have corn then there is a glut... just something to ponder on

  • I know this may be a little random, but with no till doesn't the soil get compacted causing root and absorption Problems? Do you or shouldn't you still till every couple years to avoid this. The fields look full of un-decomposed material. Just curious?

    Jeannan KeefeJeannan Keefe6 months ago
    • @Robert Welker Thank you for the explanation to a non-farmer.

      Jeannan KeefeJeannan Keefe5 months ago
    • We get the benefit of frozen ground during the winter. It breaks up the compaction. The problem in our area is tilling hurts the soil microbs by destroying quickly the organic matter. And we are short on OM.
